1. Pink Well Challenge Finalist Profile: Pink-4-Ever

Pink-4-Ever's mission is being dedicated to reducing breast cancer disparities in the community through empowerment, education and support. We accomplish this by providing high disparity communities with general, up to date, and culture specific breast health information. Our aim is to see an increased number of screenings and mammograms obtained from our outreach efforts by effectively serving as a bridge between educational outreach and the next crucial component, breast health screening.

Our greatest accomplishment so far has been that we have had the ability to provide assistance, resources and education to more than 10,000 women.

We envision a future where breast cancer is no longer a threat. We aim our efforts to see that early detection will decrease cancer related deaths.  We’re creating a movement among the community to dispel myths about breast cancer and to create an environment where it’s okay to ask questions and receive information about health concerns.

Funds will be used to provide resources, education, support, access to screening services and financial assistance to low-income women and men who are in active treatment for breast cancer in order to cover basic human needs, lessen financial burdens, and improve quality of life in the community.

Pink-4-Ever is our success story. John M. Miller founded Pink-4-Ever Inc with the assistance of his sister Nadia. Nadia Miller is the inspiration behind an organization that addresses the needs particular to the African American community. Miller is a breast cancer survivor, who helped turned a family's health affliction into an organization that provides standardized educational programs, support, empowerment and hope.
