The 3 most Important Questions you Need to Ask your Doctor when Diagnosed with Breast Cancer

    12.5.11

According to the American Cancer Society (ACS)'s Breast Cancer Facts & Figures 2011-2012,  breast cancer is the most common cancer among women, accounting for nearly 1 in 3 cancers diagnosed in US women. Only in 2011, an estimated 230,480 new cases of invasive breast cancer will be diagnosed among women, as well as an estimated 57,650 additional cases of in situ breast cancer. These numbers remind us how important is for women to be informed when they talk to their doctors. Here at Pink Well we want to share with our readers an informative video with Dr. Sarah McLaughlin, a breast surgeon at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida. In the video Dr. McLaughlin explains the 3 most important questions a newly diagnosed breast cancer patient need to ask.

1.- What are the specifics of my tumor?

2.- Is my doctor a member of a multidisciplinary integrated specialized breast team?

3.- What is the best operation for me?
